How does the 'Designer Sales' catalogue work?

Our Designer Sales section features a broad range of luxury fashion items from prêt-à-porter styles to handbags, shoes, accessories and jewellery in various timed Events. Each Event, or catalogue, is classified by designer brand or product type.

New sale events are launched on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am Singapore Time (+8 GMT). These events only last for 5-7 days, so the products will only be available on sale for a limited time.

However, most items can sell out long before the sale event closes, so a way of ensuring that you don't miss out on savings is to subscribe to our mailing list. This way, you'll always be the first to know when new designer sale events premiere on our website!

Are the branded items featured on 'Designer Sales' current season stock?

We do bring in the latest styles and colours for popular designer brands. In addition, we also carry a range of classic styles that are ever-popular over the years and signature or trademark pieces. Rest assured that all items in our store are brand new and certified authentic.

Are the items featured on 'Designer Sales' old stock? Is that why the prices are so low?

We carry a mix of both the latest and classic season styles in our Designer Sales section. All items are brand new and certified authentic.

By liaising directly with brand merchants and authorised wholesalers, we are able to offer you authentic designer brands at extremely competitive prices.

Why are your prices so low? What is the difference between buying from Clout Shoppe and directly from the brand boutique?

By liaising directly with brand merchants and authorised wholesalers, we are able to offer you authentic designer brands at extremely competitive prices.

Authorised brick-and-mortar boutiques have to abide by a regulated price list from the designer brand itself. These retail prices are higher because they take into consideration overhead operating costs, branding, advertising, follow-up service, and in the case of some brands - free maintenance within a set time frame (usually one year).

As a parallel importer, Clout Shoppe sources its products directly from brand merchants or authorised wholesalers overseas. Because we purchase these items in bulk and take advantage of factors such as wholesale rates, favourable exchange rates and the lower retail pricing in certain countries, we are able to acquire these luxury items are a lower cost, and in turn pass on these savings to you.

Furthermore, as Clout Shoppe is primarily an online retail store, we do not have hefty overheads to maintain, unlike other physical retail outlets. This way, we are able to maximise the savings for our customers.

Are parallel imported goods legal? Does it mean that they are rejected or defective items?

Parallel importing is definitely legal in Singapore and as a public-listed company, we run a genuine business and do not deal with counterfeit or bootleg products under any circumstances.

Goods that are sold by parallel importers are of the same make and quality as goods that are sold in authorised brand boutiques, and the lower cost of parallel imported goods is attributed to the lack of overhead costs and difference in importation route, not manufacturing defects.

To clarify, we import genuine luxury products from the official brand manufacturer's home country, via authorised brand dealers.

Are all branded items you sell genuine?

Yes, all items sold on Clout Shoppe are authentic and brand new. No effort is spared to ensure the authenticity and quality of our products, and we only obtain them directly from brand suppliers or authorised wholesalers.

If in doubt, you may verify the authenticity of your purchased item at any of the respective brand boutiques in your country. For exchanges or counterfeit claims, kindly provide us with an official document from the particular brand that refutes the authenticity of the product, and we will promptly reimburse you the full price of your purchase in cash.

What are 'Clout Exclusives'?

Clout Shoppe is the sole online retail channel for selected luxury brands and styles. These products, which are listed under Clout Exclusives, are specially sourced and not available at local brick-and-mortar stores or other online retail sites.

Unlike our timed Designer Sale events, Clout Exclusives are available for the entire season, or while stocks last. However, as many of the brands featured in Clout Exclusives are on a consignment basis, they may take 7-10 working days to be delivered.

Are the colours portrayed on the computer similar to the product?

We do our best to ensure that the colours portrayed on our website are accurate. Our dedicated team of photographers and designers adhere to a stringent procedure whereby each product is physically compared to the computer monitor for best match of colour. As such, kindly understand that actual colours may vary due to monitor, display or resolution settings, as well as the type of screen used to view the website.

What is 'Clout Elite' about? How do I join?

Clout Elite is one of the many rewards we offer our most loyal and active customers.

An invitation to join the ranks of Clout Elite will be offered to those who spend a minimum of $3000 nett within 12 months at Clout Shoppe.com.

This is only applicable for purchases made online on CloutShoppe.com.

Upon qualifying for Elite membership, Elite members will automatically gain the following privileges:

  • A bonus gift of 150 Clout Credits to be used for your next purchase.
  • Invitations to exclusive online sales events and physical (offline) sales events.
  • Priority access and VIP treatment at our launch parties and fashion shows.

Clout Elite membership is valid for one year from the time of qualification and subject to renewal after 12 months. To retain your Clout Elite status, simply ensure that your yearly purchase is a minimum of $3000.

Payment

How can I pay?

We accept online payment via PayPal or credit/debit card. You can also pay by credit card via Paypal without registering for a Paypal account.

Which credit/debit cards do you accept?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Can I pay via installment? Is it interest-free?

Yes, you can! If you are a UOB card holder or Citibank card holder, you can pay via interest-free installments (of either 6 months or 12 months) for total purchases worth $300 and above.

Please note that we charge a S$1.00 processing fee for all payment transactions that are made via UOB interest-free installment payment plans, for both UOB and Citibank card holders.

Here's how you can pay via interest-free installment:

  1. Upon checking out your items, select "Payment by UOB Installment Plan" or "Payment by Citibank Installment Plan" under PAYMENT METHOD and fill in the required particulars.
  2. You will be contacted shortly via phone by our Clout Concierge officer to complete your order. Please note that you will be contacted via the phone number you have listed within 3 hours of your check out, from 9am to 6.30pm. If you have placed your order during non-office hours, weekends or public holidays, we will contact you by the next working day.
  3. If you are not contactable via the phone number provided in your order, Clout Shoppe reserves the right to void your reservation of the item and put it back up for sale.
  4. All orders made over the phone are final and binding. Rest assured that we will not share your personal details with any third party as all information given to us will be handled with strictest confidence.
  5. Upon receiving a call from our Clout Concierge officer, you will be prompted to supply the following information: Your name and credit card number. As such, please ensure that you have your credit card information on hand when we call you so that your order can be completed smoothly.
  6. To verify our source, we will be able to tell you the unique PIN that you have keyed in upon checkout. For your security, do not reveal any personal or credit information if the caller is unable to verify your PIN, as only authorised Clout Shoppe staff have access to this information.
  7. When prompted, you can choose to pay via either a 6-month or 12-month installment plan. Your payment will then be processed by our Concierge Office and you will be notified of its completion.
Can I use my debit card for installment payment?

Unfortunately, we are unable to process debit cards for installment payment.

Can I pay via Clout Credits?

Yes, you can! Please note that your Clout Credit balance is not subjected to partial use and that all your existing Clout Credits are taken into account in a single transaction. However, to effectuate any online purchase, the minimum amount that you can pay after applying Clout Credits is $1. Hence, if you have 150 Clout Credits and your total purchase order is S$100, you will still need to pay a minimum of $1, and you will have a balance of 51 Clout Credits.

Can I use Clout Credits or discount/promotions to offset shipping charges?

Clout Credits and discounts/promotions are not applicable to shipping costs. Any purchase order below S$150 will be charged a flat fee of S$6 to deliver via our dedicated courier service, even if the total purchase is paid for with Clout Credits.

However, as long as your total order (before applying any discount or Clout Credits) amounts to S$150 and above, shipping will be free of charge.

Do I have to pay Goods and Services Tax (GST)?

A standard 7% GST is inclusive in the prices stated on each product page. This is applicable for all orders within Singapore only.

All overseas orders are not subject to GST. This means that if your billing address and delivery address is not within Singapore, you will not be charged for GST.

Can I cancel my order after paying?

Once an order is placed with us, we do our best to ensure fast delivery to you. As such, we are unable to cancel your order once it has been processed by our system. It would be advisable to check that your order is satisfactory before confirming the order.

Shipping & Delivery

How much will shipping cost?

All orders bound for Singaporean addresses below S$150 will be charged a flat fee of S$6 to deliver via our dedicated courier service. You can place as many items as you want in a single order. Shipping to all addresses within Singapore is free of charge as long as your total order amounts to S$150 and above.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do! International shipping is provided at a flat rate of $29 for the following destinations:

  10. Indonesia

Also, for a limited period for our launch, we will provide free international shipping for orders above $500. Orders below $500 will still be charged accordingly.

What if my shipping address is not within Singapore on the above-mentioned list?

We ship worldwide to all locations, although shipping charges may vary for certain countries. If your shipping address is not within Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea, UAE, Indonesia, Hong Kong, or China, simply email our friendly concierge team at info@cloutshoppe.com to receive a quotation for your shipping fees.

Please note that international shipping costs are calculated based on the quantity and weight of your product.

Do I have to pay any customs duties and taxes for international orders?

All overseas orders are not subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST), or Value Added Tax (as referred to in other countries). This means that if your billing address and delivery address is not within Singapore, you will not be charged for GST.

For all overseas orders, the product and shipping prices displayed are exclusive of customs and import duties.

Any customs and import duties that are imposed by the country you are shipping to are charged when your order has reached its destination country. As the recipient of the parcel, you will be liable for these charges. This means that you may be required to make a separate payment to release your parcel from local customs.

We have no control over these charges as customs policies vary widely from country to country. As such, you may want to contact your local customs office for further information before you place your order.

Please note that all goods that arrive in your country are subject to local customs clearance formalities and regulations that differ according to country. At Clout Shoppe, we ensure that your orders are packaged and sent with the proper documentation based on your given information; however we are not liable for any delays, losses or interference owing to customs or issues with clearance.

How many days will it take for my item to arrive?

For delivery to addresses within Singapore

Products that are currently stocked in our warehouse will take about 2-4 working days from your date of order to be delivered to your address. This applies to most of our items listed under Designer Sales, as well as some of the items in Clout Exclusives, unless specifically mentioned in the product description.

If you have purchased more than 1 item whereby some are in-stock while others are not, you can choose to have them shipped together (in which delivery time will be based on the arrival of items that are not currently in-stock), or separately (so that your in-stock items will reach you first).

Please note that if you choose to ship your items separately, you will be charged on each order.

For delivery to overseas addresses

Products that are currently stocked in our warehouse will take about 3-6 working days from your date of order to be delivered to your address. This applies to most of our items listed under Designer Sales, as well as some of the items in Clout Exclusives, unless specifically mentioned in the product description.

If you have purchased more than 1 item whereby some are in-stock while others are not, you can choose to have them shipped together (in which delivery time will be based on the arrival of items that are not currently in-stock), or separately (so that your in-stock items will reach you first).

When do you deliver?

We deliver on all days of the week except Sunday and public holidays. You can choose to have your item delivered at the following time slots:

This option can be selected during your check-out.

All orders require a signature upon receipt to be released. Please note that we do not deliver to PO Box addresses.

What countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to addresses in Singapore only. However, we are expanding our mailing capacity to include other countries too, so stay tuned for more updates on our website!

Packaging

Does my item come in the original brand packaging?

When available, your products will come contained in their original brand packaging.

All bags will come contained in the brand dustbags unless specified, but not all bags will come in the original brand box.

Most small leather goods and accessories will come packaged in their original brand box, depending on the size of the product.

Returns

How many days do I have to return an item if I am dissatisfied with it?

At Clout Shoppe, we take pride in our reputation for excellent quality and value. We have a 5 working day return policy that is only applicable for incorrect or defective items, the terms of which are as follows:

  1. Items must be in their original purchase condition, including the original product packaging, manufacturer's containers, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories.
  2. Any item that you received with tags attached must be returned with those tags intact.
  3. All packaging, including the original manufacturer's containers, must be unmarked and not defaced in any manner.
  4. Defective items are defined as items that have missing parts or components, deep scratches, or obvious blemishes and stains.
  5. The following are not considered as defects:
    1. Uneven textures or colour hues on leather surfaces. Please note that natural leathers (as used by majority of luxury brands) are all unique in form and texture, and tonal variations, creases or veins are part of their intrinsic features.
    2. Creases on leather exterior. Leather is malleable and the shape of the bag is dependent on the stuffing or items placed inside.
    3. Loose threads that need only require a simple snipping to be removed.
    4. Non-shiny hardware. Please note that several designs are meant to emulate an 'aged' or 'antiqued' look and feel, as such the hardware may be subject to natural distressing to yield a matt or rustic appearance.
What kinds of items are not subject to returns?

Items purchased as part of a set or multi-item pack may not be returned individually. Due to hygiene reasons, there will be no returns for intimates, undergarments and body products. There will also be no returns for accessories, small leather goods and bags unless the merchandise is defective.

Please note that we do not accept returns for bags, purses, clutches and wallets on sizing basis as the measurements and dimensions of these items are clearly stated on the respective product pages.

How will I be refunded for returns?

All returns will be refunded via Clout Shoppe credits only. There will be no cash refunds except in the case of defective items. This amount will be less any shipping and delivery charge, which is non-refundable.

Some items, especially leather goods, are specially hand-dyed or processed to show tonal variations, uneven colours or lines, or a seasoned, weathered appearance. These are part of the product’s intrinsic design and are not to be considered as defects. This is indicated specifically in the product description of such items.

Paper tags, printed cards, receipts and packaging are not considered as part of the product and do not qualify as the basis for a refund regardless of condition.

How do I go about returning an item?

Return via our Collection Service

Another way you can return your item is via our collection service. Simply book a collection time with us to ensure a hassle-free, time-saving return for just SGD$6.

We will then collect your goods anytime from 9am - 9pm between Monday and Friday, and 9am - 1pm on Saturdays. All you need to do is email us with the day and address you want us to pick up your item from. We can even pick it up from your workplace if you want us to!

You can pay for this collection service online when you make your booking. Please note that gift vouchers and discounts cannot be used to pay for this service.

Your return will be processed within 7 working days of your goods being collected.

Exchanges

How many days do I have to exchange an item if it is unsuitable for me?

Clout has a 5 working day exchange policy for items that do not fit the consumer, the terms of which are as follows:

  1. Items must be in their original purchase condition, including the original product packaging, manufacturer's containers, documentation, warranty cards, manuals, and all accessories.
  2. Any item that you received with tags attached must be returned with those tags intact.

What kinds of items can I exchange?

Exchanges are limited to apparels only, and subject to availability of stock. Strictly no exchanges are allowed for different apparel styles or colour – exchanges are applicable for size changes only.

What kinds of items are not subject to exchanges?

Owing to the nature of the goods, belts and cosmetics cannot be exchanged. Similarly, due to hygiene reasons, there will be no returns for intimates, undergarments and body products. Items purchased as part of a set or multi-item pack may not be exchanged individually.

How do I go about exchanging an item?

If you wish to exchange a product for that of a different size or fit, please email us at exchange@cloutshoppe.com with the following information:

You can pay for this collection service online when you make your booking. Please note that gift vouchers and discounts cannot be used to pay for this service.

Your exchange will be processed within 15 working days of your goods being collected.
